Cranberry Basil Lemonade
Ingredients:
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups unsweetened cranberry juice
- 1/2 cup basil leaves
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1 pitcher fresh lemonade (1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice + 2 cups simple syrup+ 8 cups of water)
- 4 slices lemon
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup basil leaves
Preparations:
- First, make the cranberry syrup. In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, bring water, sugar, and juice to a boil. Stir to dissolve sugar.
- Add 1/2 cup basil leaves, remove the pan from heat, and let steep for 20 minutes.
- Allow the syrup to cool for at least 1 hour. Then remove the basil.
- Fill glasses 3/4 full with ice and lemonade. Fill the remaining room with cranberry basil syrup and top with fresh cranberries, basil, and a lemon slice.
